Message From the President

It is my honor to serve as President of the Junior League of Tacoma for the 2025–2027 League years. Each day, I am inspired by the dedication, compassion, and leadership of our members who come together with a shared purpose—to strengthen our community and create meaningful, lasting impact.
Since relocating to Tacoma in 2013, this community has become home to me in every sense of the word. Through the Junior League of Tacoma, I found not only opportunities to serve but also a network of passionate women committed to making a difference. The friendships, leadership development, and service I’ve experienced through the League have shaped my journey in ways I never could have imagined.
For more than a century, the Junior League has empowered women to become effective civic leaders and volunteers in their communities. Here in Tacoma, our members carry that legacy forward by showing up for our neighbors, supporting local organizations, and addressing the evolving needs of our region through hands-on service, community partnerships, and leadership development.
Our members are women who believe that when we work together, we can accomplish extraordinary things. Through volunteer initiatives, fundraising, and collaborative partnerships, we support programs that address critical community needs—from supporting youth and families to investing in educational opportunities and strengthening the nonprofit sector. We are especially proud of the ways our members engage directly with community partners, provide vital volunteer support, and help expand opportunities through initiatives such as our scholarship program.
What makes the Junior League of Tacoma truly special is the collective impact of our members. Each year, hundreds of women contribute their time, talents, and leadership to strengthen the fabric of our community while also developing the skills and confidence to lead both within the League and beyond.
Our work would not be possible without the support of our community partners, donors, and advocates who believe in the power of trained volunteers and women’s leadership. Whether you are interested in becoming a member, partnering with us, or supporting our mission through philanthropy, I invite you to learn more about the Junior League of Tacoma and the many ways we are working to build a stronger community together.
Together, we are creating opportunities, empowering leaders, and making a lasting difference in Tacoma.
Warmly,
Ashley Pullen
