Training Collaborative: The Origins of Leadership: The Power of Your Story

Wed, 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM VIRTUAL ONLY

Description

Leadership begins with story. Origins of Leadership—The Power of Your Story centers leadership in lived experience rather than title or position. This training guides participants to examine where they come from, what they have navigated, and how those experiences shape the way they think, decide, and lead.
Participants explore their origin story as a source of clarity, perspective, and personal authority. The session focuses on meaning-making, self-awareness, and coherence—how understanding one’s story strengthens presence, trust, and decision-making. Leadership is framed as a human practice rooted in awareness, responsibility, and connection.
The outcome is grounded leadership that reflects who a person is, not just what they do. Learning Objectives:
• Recognize leadership as grounded in lived experience
• Identify key elements of their origin story and how those experiences shape
perspective
• Understand how personal story influences leadership behavior and decisionmaking
• Develop clear language for their story and values
• Strengthen self-awareness as a foundation for trust and leadership presence
• Carry forward one insight that supports daily leadership and relational clarity
